Dallien

He wasn’t supposed to be here.

At Helios Academy, everyone knows where they come from—and more importantly, where they’re going. Dallien knows neither. A scholarship student from the lowest rung of society, he’s surrounded by people who have spent their lives preparing for a future he’s only pretending to understand.

So he keeps his head down. He listens more than he speaks. He lets his friends believe what they want to believe. Because the truth isn’t just uncomfortable—it’s isolating. And for the first time in his life, he has something to lose.

But staying in the background never seems to last.

Again and again, something pulls him forward—an instinct he doesn’t trust, a certainty he can’t explain. Decisions fall to him. People look to him. And before he can stop it, he’s taking charge in moments where hesitation means failure—forced into a leadership role he neither wants nor feels ready for.

And that would be hard enough on its own.

Something inside him is changing. A power he doesn’t understand is waking up—unpredictable, uncontrollable, and impossible to ignore. And if he can’t get a handle on it, the consequences won’t just fall on him.

They’ll fall on the people who trust him most.
